God’s faithfulness and goodness goes on forever. He does not change. We can trust Him through everything. Faith, Hope and Love remain in the end. The greatest is love. God’s love is unconditional and surrounds us always. His love is what moves and motivates God to work on our behalf, for our good. Therefore we have nothing to fear. For through God all things are possible. He can make paths where there is none. He can create something out of nothing. He can work good out of anything and create miracles when there seems to be no hope.
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Future of Hope
We don’t need to fear or worry about the future. We can leave it in God’s hands. We can trust Him to handle it all. We can trust His goodness. God is good in all things.
Psalms 34:8
Taste and see that the LORD is good. How blessed is the one who takes shelter in him.
Presence of God
God is with us always. He never will leave us. He will never abandon us. He loves us with an unending love. He desires the best for us.
John 14:18
“I will not abandon you as orphans, I will come to you.”
He designs our life, every aspect and part has a purpose. He walks right beside us. He is always close. We can talk to Him anytime about absolutely anything. He wants to commune with us. He wants to know what is on our heart.
Grace of God
God’s grace is upon us. It is undeserved. It is freely given by God. His grace patiently works in us. His grace covers our faults. His grace goes with us wherever we go.
Romans 11:6
And if it is by grace, it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would no longer be grace.
Romans 3:24
But they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
We are told to give and show grace to others because God has been gracious with us. We can give others the same grace and understanding God has given us. We can trust and rely on God’s grace in our own life. Grace carries us through and gives us hope.
Philippians 4:5
Let everyone see your gentleness. The Lord is near!
Ephesians 4:2
with all humility and gentleness, with patience, putting up with one another in love.
Colossians 3:13
bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if someone happens to have a complaint against anyone else. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also forgive others.
John 13:35
“Everyone will know by this that you are my disciples—if you have love for one another.”
Faithfulness of God
God is always faithful, now and forever. He is faithful even when we are not, because His nature cannot change. He will help us anytime we call on Him. He listens and hears us. He immediately responds. We may not see His answer right away, but we can expect and trust that He is working and His timing is best.
2 Timothy 2:13
If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, since he cannot deny himself.
God’s Heart
Jesus was moved with compassion for the crowds. He met their needs. He reached out to each need individually. He stopped what He was doing to listen to a request and respond. This is God’s heart.
Matthew 9:36
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were bewildered and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Matthew 14:14
As he got out he saw the large crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
Throughout the Bible, God is moved to show compassion, mercy, comfort, healing, hope and help. God loves us. God cares about us. His love moved Him to come to us and make a way for salvation. To fulfill our greatest need of a savior. To pull us out of our sin and bring us into His light and give us life with him.
Our Rock
God is our strength, our foundation, our shelter. He sustains us. He carries us. He watches over us. He is our helper. He is our savior.
Psalms 124:8
Our deliverer is the LORD, the Creator of heaven and earth.
1 Corinthians 1:8-9
He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into fellowship with his son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Samuel 2:2
No one is holy like the LORD! There is no one other than you! There is no rock like our God!
God creates and supports all life. Without Him nothing can exist. He loves us and knows us fully. He reaches out to us everyday. He can fill our every need. He can handle all of our situations and problems. He knows the past, present moment and the future. He sees way beyond what we can is working it all together for our good. We can trust that promise. We can trust Him fully now and for the future.
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the LORD. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.
Ephesians 3:12
in whom we have boldness and confident access to God by way of Christ’s faithfulness.
Promises of God
God promises a lot. God can do anything. He loves to work on our behalf, to help us and express His love towards us. He delights in showing mercy and compassion. He showers us with blessings. He hears every prayer and takes action to answer. He is always by our side.
Psalms 68:19
The Lord deserves praise. Day after day he carries our burden, the God who delivers us.
Word of God
God gives His promises to us in writing. He wrote them for us to have record of them, to know He cares and loves us to make His good promises to us. He is true. His Word is true. God’s promises can be fully trusted. God does not change.
Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a human being, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not make it happen?
God promises to always be there, to always help us when we call on Him, to save all who come to Him. He promises to give us strength, to work things out for our good, to walk with us and be our best friend and encourager throughout life. He promises to bring us home to a place He has prepared for us so we can live forever with Him.
Psalms 121:2
My help comes from the LORD, the Creator of heaven and earth. May he not allow your foot to slip. May your Protector not sleep.
Isaiah 12:2
Look, God is my deliverer! I will trust in him and not fear. For the LORD gives me strength and protects me; he has become my deliverer.”
Hebrews 13:6
So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid. What can people do to me?”
John 14:1-4
“Do not let your hearts be distressed. You believe in God; believe also in me. There are many dwelling places in my Father’s house. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going away to make ready a place for you. And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, so that where I am you may be too. And you know the way where I am going.”
Prayer
God gave us the gift of prayer. To be able to talk to Him anytime anywhere about anything that is on our mind. God wants us to come to Him, to bring our concerns and thoughts to Him. He wants us to express our hearts to Him.
Psalms 62:8
Trust in him at all times, you people! Pour out your hearts before him. God is our shelter.
We can be honest with God. He won’t get mad. He will listen intently to us. He cares and will reach out to us. He is always there and ready to listen and hear us. We can even pray His Word, His promises over us and others. God is good in everything and He will be our advocate. Bring everything to Him in prayer.
1 Thessalonians 5:17
constantly pray
1 Corinthians 14:15
What should I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind. I will sing praises with my spirit, but I will also sing praises with my mind.
Matthew 6:6
But whenever you pray, go into your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.
Luke 5:16
Yet Jesus himself frequently withdrew to the wilderness and prayed.
Jesus Overcame
Jesus promised to help us overcome, because He overcame. He knows this life. He lived this life. He understands and wants to carry our burden Himself. Through Him, through His help and strength we too can overcome this world. He is our source, our only hope and ever present help.
John 16:33
“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage—I have conquered the world.”
Matthew 11:28-29
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke on you and learn from me because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Reach out to Him now with whatever is on your mind and heart. Talk to Him and He will be faithful to you. He will always be there for us. He has been and always will be with us no matter where we are or what we have done. He waits patiently for us to return. He holds us close and walks with us no matter where life takes us. He is always faithful. He is always good.
Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
The LORD is my shepherd,
I lack nothing.
He takes me to lush pastures,
he leads me to refreshing water.
He restores my strength.
He leads me down the right paths
for the sake of his reputation.
Even when I must walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no danger,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff reassure me.
You prepare a feast before me
in plain sight of my enemies.
You refresh my head with oil;
my cup is completely full.
Surely your goodness and faithfulness will pursue me all my days,
and I will live in the LORD’s house for the rest of my life.
Romans 11:33-36
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how unfathomable his ways!
For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who has been his counselor?
Or who has first given to God
that God needs to repay him?
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever! Amen.
Romans 12:12
Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer.
